Experience and Integrity for Hillsborough Circuit Court, Group 1
|
Circuit court judges preside over the most serious lawsuits, often involving large monetary damages, significant prison sentences and crucial family law determinations. Judges must have keen legal skills and the ability to make difficult calls in a uniformly fair and consistent manner. These skills are best honed through direct courtroom experience and proven courtroom leadershp.
I have honorably served the law for twenty years, with twelve years as a litigator in Hillsborough state and federal courtrooms. The breadth and depth of my legal experience uniquely qualifies me to make the best possible decisions from the bench. I am asking for your vote in this important election, and will be honored to serve as your Circuit Court Judge in Group #1.
I have brought integrity and respect to my years of public service. As a prosecutor with the State Attorney's office, I stood up for victims and brought serious law offenders to justice. I tried the most serious offenses under Florida law and served as the chief prosecutor and supervisor of the largest trial division. I also served in a special prosecutions unit, aimed at handling some of the largest drug trafficking cases in our state.
I also served as the Training Director for the largest criminal defense firm in Hillsborough County -- the Office of the Public Defender, for the Hon. Julianne Holt.
For over a decade as the owner of my own law firm in Tampa, I have provided legal counsel to individuals charged with state and federal offenses, representing them with a strong voice to protect their constitutional rights. I have also provided counsel on significant civil matters and have been lead trial counsel on well over 100 jury trials in my career.
Hillsborough County voters have an important choice on August 26th, 2008. I believe I have the balance and depth of experience to capably serve as your Circuit Court Judge. I am asking for your vote and support in this important race and I look forward to meeting many of you on the campaign trail.
